Access to basic health care remains one of the biggest challenges that Yemen faces. Its estimates that 14.8 million people lack access to basic health care services and are vulnerable to communicable diseases and conflict-related injuries.
WASH
17.8 million Yemenis are in need of life-saving WASH services, 12.8 million of whom were in acute need. ADRA implement x projects, with activities in line with first and second-line response objectives providing emergency water, sanitation and hygiene services, and assistance to the most vulnerable populations and restoring and maintaining sustainable water and sanitation systems to the populations most in need.
Agriculture, Beekeeping & Livelihoods
As part of early recovery efforts, ADRA Yemen has been incorporating activities to rebuild the local economy. Beneficiaries have the chance to open their own business, start their crops, or practice beekeeping. With the x projects, we gave specialized training, in-kind material for businesses, and proper equipment for agriculture activities.
Nutrition & Food Security
7.4 million Yemenis don’t know where they will obtain their next meal (HNO). Families were obliged to sell their houses and properties to be able to afford food and other basic needs, nutrition, and food security became one of the biggest needs to be addressed by the humanitarian organizations in Yemen. ADRA has been implementing x projects with a focus on nutrition, x projects of which were part of a multi-sectoral intervention, and x projects were stand-alone that improved nutrition of xxxx participants
